Welcome to my new Jewelry blog! I thought this would be a great way to connect with all of you in between shows. First I wanted to thank all of my long time customers who have been buying my jewelry for years and come back frequently to add to your collection! A big welcome to all of my new customers who I hope will continue to support me and start your own collection of my jewelry.

When I started my jewelry business 21 years ago, I knew I wanted to make “timeless designs for everyday wear”. I love the look of gold, especially paired with the stones I hand pick. However gold can be out of reach for a lot of us, so I decided to use gold filled. Gold filled gives you the look of gold at a slightly more affordable price. Using gold filled gives me the ability to share my designs with more of you!
The most asked question I get is what is gold filled and how will it wear / last??? How do I clean and maintain my gold filled jewelry??? A gold filled piece of jewelry is not solid gold although it has the same desirable properties and look of gold. Gold filled is an actual layer of gold pressure bonded to another metal. Gold filled is not to be confused with gold plating as filled literally has 100% more gold than gold platting. Gold filled is much more valuable and tarnish resistant, it does not flake off, rub off or turn color. It’s also safe for those with metal allergies. Gold filled is much more expensive than gold plated material and will last longer, up to 30 years.
The Best way to take care of your gold filled jewelry is to keep it in a zip lock plastic baggie when not wearing it. However, if you feel it needs a bit of cleaning you can use a soft toothbrush with mild dish soap, pat dry with a clean cloth and let air-dry. Make sure your jewelry is completely dry before storing.
With the look and durability of “real gold” gold filled is a great way to bring style and timeless design to my customers. Shop some of my new gold filled designs on my web site now. Hope to see you at my next show!
We love the look of gold with turquoise in your summery designs!
